Terms of Service

These terms govern use of Zaki's app and related services, operated by Laith Abuhaija ("Zaki," "we," or "us"). Questions: team@zakilabs.ai. Zaki is currently in prerelease testing. Features and connected-service availability may change before public release.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be in the United States, at least 18 years old, and of legal age to form a binding contract where you live. Use accurate account information and a phone number you control. Protect your account and verification codes. Connect only third-party accounts that you own or are authorized to use.

What Zaki provides

Zaki helps you explore food preferences, receive AI-assisted suggestions, record meals and maintain Flavor DNA. Available connected-service features may let you view account details, prepare carts or review checkout. A suggestion or cart action is not a completed purchase. Features depend on supported services, permissions and current availability.

AI, food safety and accuracy

Zaki AI is powered by OpenAI. To answer chats, identify meal photos and tag meals, Zaki sends the content those features need to OpenAI, as described in the Privacy Policy. AI-generated descriptions, meal identification, ingredients and taste inferences may be wrong or incomplete. Restaurant menus, prices, delivery estimates and availability can change. Zaki is not a medical or nutrition service and does not guarantee that a meal meets an allergy, intolerance, dietary or religious requirement. Verify ingredients and cross-contact risks directly with the restaurant before consuming food. You may edit or correct your tastes and meal records.

Connected services, orders and payments

Third-party services have separate eligibility requirements, terms and privacy practices. Zaki is not DoorDash, a restaurant or a delivery provider and does not claim an official DoorDash partnership. Use of DoorDash is subject to DoorDash's terms. Provider authorization and availability determine whether Zaki can offer an integration.

Where ordering is enabled, review the restaurant, items, address or pickup location, payment method, fees, tip and final total before authorizing an order. Food and provider charges are separate from downloading Zaki. We do not promise a particular price, delivery time or refund. Order fulfillment, cancellation, refunds and provider subscriptions are handled under the relevant provider's terms. Deleting Zaki or your Zaki account does not cancel an existing provider order or subscription.

If an order outcome is unclear, check the order with the provider or contact support before ordering again. Do not assume an interrupted app request means a charge did not occur.

Your content and acceptable use

You retain rights to content you supply. You permit us and our service providers to process that content as needed to operate Zaki, including AI processing described in the Privacy Policy. Submit only material you have the right to use. Do not upload other people's private information without permission, misuse accounts, impersonate others, attack the service, bypass access controls or use Zaki unlawfully.

Privacy and account closure

The Privacy Policy explains data collection, connected-service access, AI processing and deletion limitations. You can stop using Zaki and initiate deletion in Me. Contact us if deletion fails. We may restrict or suspend access for misuse, security concerns or unavailable provider access. We will address account/data requests through our support contact, subject to identity verification and applicable requirements.

Availability and responsibility

We provide Zaki on an as-available basis and cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or accurate AI results. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and responsibility for indirect or consequential losses caused by use of Zaki. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

App license, updates and contact

For an App Store distribution using Apple's standard license, the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the app license. These service terms address Zaki's service and do not replace Apple's applicable license terms. We may revise these terms with appropriate notice for material changes.
